My flowerboxes now have marjoram and romaine lettuce seeds in their soil. I bought seeds and trays to catch the water overflow, and my mom-in-law bought more earth as the latest rains claimed the dirt. No, 'tis not an allegory for anything else.
Perhaps the new year that I have longed for is the New Year for Trees.
